Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel is an icon of fashion, and can lay claim to having invented the look of the 20th century. About the Author

Edmonde Charles-Roux was editor-in-chief of French Vogue for twelve years. She has published three novels, among them To Forget Palermo, which won the Prix Goncourt in 1966.
