THE RUNES OF ODIN

The Runes of Odin has been written for motivated readers in first or second year secondary school. Although essentially a fantasy novel, complete with trolls and the magic of the runes, the details of the world created in the novel are based on Norse history and mythology.

Two parallel stories of two young people, Lena and Callum, are brought together in an action-packed climax as the power of the runes that they both possess is unleashed.

As part of the English Alive program, the novel has a number of accompanying worksheets, found in the English Alive Teacher Resource Book Phase 2, covering language, reading, thinking strategies, and an overview of the novel.
